I started my dental career in 1990 in Antioch, and graduated from the Diablo Valley College Dental Assisting program in May of 1991. In June of 1991, I passed my board exams and became a Certified and Registered Dental Assistant. I have been a registered Dental Assistant since 1991 with both front and back office experience. I grew up in Brentwood, Ca. graduating from Liberty High School in 1989. I have continued to reside in the East Bay, settling down in San Ramon with my husband James and our 4 children. I have worked for Dr. Tobian for the last 8 years. I started as his patient treatment & scheduling coordinator, as well as assisting in the back office chairside when needed. For the last 3 years, I am now the Financial & Insurance Coordinator. I no longer assist chairside in the back office, however I continue to maintain my RDA, CDA, and x-ray licensing. My dental knowledge and experience has proven to be most helpful. In my spare time I love spending time with my husband doing anything outdoorsy. I also enjoy time with my family, my 2 dogs, cooking or working out. Fun fact about me…. I used to have a home based custom cake business for 20 years while also in dentistry. My specialty was wedding cakes! I have lots of pictures if you ever want to see my hobby. I love the field of dentistry and working with people. I have two sons, two daughters, and a wonderful husband, James. I love spending time with friends and family, doing anything outdoors. I'm looking forward to meeting you and happy to be part of Dr. Tobian's team. After an internship, I started out as a dental assistant, working chairside with Dr. McCormick. In 2011 I was able to take on the role of Office Manager, and though it took some getting used to, I feel like this is right where I belong! I absolutely love being able to get to know our patients from a different perspective

After an internship, I started out as a dental assistant, working chairside with Dr. McCormick. In 2011 I was able to take on the role of Office Manager, and though it took some getting used to, I feel like this is right where I belong! I absolutely love being able to get to know our patients from a different perspective than from the dental chair. In my free time, I am still kept very busy by my three sweet boys: Cameron, Josh, and AJ. They are all active with sports, so we spend a lot of time watching games and practices! When we aren't juggling school and sports, our family enjoys movie nights, Taco Tuesdays, bike rides, and just hanging around the house doing some much-needed relaxing. If there's any time left over, I try to get some exercising in, but it's usually with a lot of reluctance! I have been with Coliseum Dental Walnut Creek since April 1998. I received my Registered Dental Assistant License in 1999 from Western Career College. I love assisting the Doctors and being able to create a friendly relationship with all the wonderful patients. I always want to make my patients feel like family. I assisted in the back office for 17 years before moving up to the front desk where I still loves having the connection with our patients. Outside of the office you can find me at Lake Tahoe or Disneyland... two of my most favorite places to spend time with my husband and two wonderful daughters.

She enjoys getting to know our patients on a personal basis and she has a great sense of humor that makes the office environment a happy place to be.
Today, Alicia is married to her best friend, Mike, and together they have 1 daughter name Yesenia who is a registered nurse. I joined the practice in 2013 and has been a great addition to the team. She attended Western Career College and received her certificate to be a Dental Assistant in 2006. Although she loves chair side dentistry, she has found a calling as the practice’s patient care coordinator. She is the person to turn to with any questions about scheduling, dental treatments and planning and anything that involves dental insurance. She is also an active member of the Contra Costa County Chapter of the American Association of Dental Office Management.
Born and raised Bay Area native, she resides in Vallejo to be close to family with her husband Marcellus and 2 beautiful kids. In her free time, she enjoys crafting, whether it be sewing or with her Cricut, sharing a passion of dancing Tahitian with her daughter, cooking (and baking) and spending quality time with her very large family. Her newest adventure is to return back to school remotely to receive her bachelor's in business administration.
